What you can do with the API

Create folders, models, items and their attributes.

Remove or delete folders, models and items.

Manage access tags, groups, users, service accounts and roles.

Search your entire organization tree.

View locking state, revisions, statuses and activities.

API versioning

The API uses multiple versions. Each version is independent — there is no automatic upgrade between them.

v1Authentication, access tags, groups, service accounts, attribute commands, activities summary.

v2Item retrieval, value commands (set, children, entities), revisions, search, activity details.

v3Item creation — returns the full created item.

v4Item creation — returns only the UUID, faster than v3.

Error responses

All API errors return a JSON body in the following shape:

NOT_AUTHORIZED

The token is valid but lacks permission for this action.

INVALID_JWT

The token is missing, malformed, or expired.

ADD_ALREADY_EXISTING_CHILD

The item is already a child at the target location.

CREATE_ORPHANS

The parent item does not exist or is not accessible.

ACCESS_TAGS_NOT_FOUND

One or more access tag IDs do not exist.
